Detroit Film Club teaches young people to recognize how media, propaganda, signs, symbols, algorithms, and repeated labels shape identity. Then we put cameras, crews, credits, and public audiences behind the stories they choose to tell.
Why Detroit Film Club exists
Visual literacy is workforce preparation. Students learn to question the story, author their own, and carry that ownership into writing, directing, acting, camera, sound, design, editing, and leadership.
